Who We Are
Access Legal Care is an award-winning* full-service law firm that provides affordable and effective legal help to lower- and moderate-income Americans at savings often as much as 40-60% savings compared to typical higher-priced attorneys. We cover the most common legal services that lower- and moderate-income people are likely to ever need.
*The American Bar Associated has selected Access Legal Care for the prestigious Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access, recognizing our firm’s innovative and effective approach for providing affordable legal help to those who do not qualify for legal aid (or are turned away) and yet who cannot afford typical high-priced lawyers.
What We Offer
**Full-Service, Limited-Scope / Unbundled Options
As a full-service law firm, Access Legal Care of course offers traditional, full-service representation, including attending all hearings, negotiating with the opposing party/attorney, preparing all documents throughout the case, and providing legal advice throughout. This type of service is what most typical law firms offer exclusively, and it often requires a large up-front retainer agreement in the several thousands of dollars. At Access Legal Care, we do offer full-representation, but our up-front fees are much lower, we often can break the retainer into smaller, more manageable payments over 2-3 weeks, and then we offer a weekly payment plan after that.
Unlike many traditional law firms, Access Legal Care also offers limited-scope / unbundled legal services. Unbundling, or limited scope representation, is an alternative to traditional, full-service representation. Instead of handling every task in a matter from start to finish, the lawyer handles only certain parts and the client remains responsible for the others. This allows clients to get expert legal advice and representation on a “pay as you go” or “flat-rate” basis, spending only hundreds of dollars for each step, rather than being required to come up with a much larger up-front retainer.
During our phone consultation, we can discuss both options with you to see what is right for you, your case, and your budget.
Practice Areas Covered
Below is a list of our primary practice areas. Please click the [Learn More] link next to any service to get more details.
Legal Fees and Pricing
Although we are not a pure “pro bono” law firm or a free legal aid agency, all of our legal services include up to two free/pro bono legal consultations by phone. During these free pro bono phone consultations, we can listen to your concerns and questions, provide you legal answers and legal advice, give you free strategy tips for your case, and sometimes point you to other pro bono services or free legal aid agencies.
In addition, after your initial pro bono free phone meeting, we will always send you a free quote for our affordable legal services, if we think that we can help you.

Access Legal Care Attorneys represent clients in Arbitration Actions. Arbitration is a private process where disputing parties agree that one or several individuals can make a decision about the dispute after receiving evidence and hearing arguments. When arbitration is binding, the decision is final, can be enforced by a court, and can only be appealed on very narrow grounds. There are two types of arbitration actions in which Access Legal Care Attorneys can help: 1) Standard Arbitration (usually court-ordered or contracted-for), and 2) Christian Arbitration Services resolving a dispute between two Christians, which is a free service.
Standard Arbitration Services. Typical arbitration that most people may be involved with is that which the parties either agreed by contract that they would engage in arbitration prior to or in lieu of filing any court action against one other, or that is ordered by a Judge. This type of Arbitration is usually performed under rules set by an organization such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA), arbitrated by professional neutral arbitrators, and the decision of the Arbitrator(s) are often binding on the parties. We represent clients who are submitting their case to arbitration. We charge affordable legal fees for doing so, plus the Arbitrator(s) also charge a fee.
Christian Arbitration Services. Access Legal Care also provides a very rarely-offered type of arbitration services which is biblically based, led by a Christian attorney, and is intended to help resolve disputes between two Christians.
This service is based on the biblical passage in 1 Corinthians 6:1-7, which says: “Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? 2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? 4 If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? 5 I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? 6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! 7 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?”
In this passage, the Apostle Paul is instructing believers to settle disputes either by: 1) just accepting the wrong, moving on, and letting God deal with it in His own way, or by: 2) appointing “a wise man among you…[a believer and Christian] who will be able to judge between his brethren.” Paul specifically instructs believers to take their matter before other believers, rather than taking another Christian to civil court to resolve a dispute in front of a potentially non-believing Judge, and much to the dishonor of the church before the public.
It is in the spirit of this bible passage that Access Legal Care offers free Christian Arbitration Services to believers who are in a dispute with other believers. Both parties in the dispute must be professed Christians; both parties must voluntarily agree to submit their case to our law firm for these services; and both parties must agree to not sue the other in civil court unless/until there is a failure of resolution at the conclusion of this arbitration service. Neither party will pay any legal fees to us (the service is free), and we will assign an experienced, Christian, licensed-attorney as a neutral arbitrator between the two parties to seek to arbitrate and resolve the dispute.
Chapter 7 bankruptcy is the fastest and most common form of consumer bankruptcy. It’s a tool to resolve overwhelming debt under the protection of a federal court. You may have to give up some assets, like an expensive car or jewelry, but the vast majority of filers do not.
This type of bankruptcy forgives most unsecured debts, that is, debts without collateral, like medical bills, credit card debt and personal loans. However, some forms of debt, such as back taxes, court judgments, alimony and child support, and student loans generally aren’t eligible.
To qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy you:
Must pass the means test, which looks at your income, assets and expenses.
Cannot have completed a Chapter 7 in the past eight years or a Chapter 13 bankruptcy within the past six years.
Cannot have filed a bankruptcy petition (Chapter 7 or 13) in the previous 180 days that was dismissed because you failed to appear in court or comply with court orders, or you voluntarily dismissed your own filing because creditors sought court relief to recover property they had a lien on.
Access Legal Care prepares your Bankruptcy Chapter 7 petition and schedules in all 50 states for individuals or couples, with limited assets. We do not do Chapter 13 Bankruptcies. Our services include: Working with you to gather all documents and information necessary to prepare your petition and schedules; advising you on debtor financial courses you can take online or by phone; preparing your petition and all schedules; upload all documents to your trustee and answer Trustee questions; Advise you for and prepare you for your Creditor’s Meeting with the Trustee; Unlimited legal advice throughout the process. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) can be scary without owing them money. If you owe a large tax balance to the IRS, it can be terrifying. The IRS can hold onto your property, garnish your wages, freeze access to your financial balances, and put liens on or seize your property. If your money-related challenges have gotten you into difficulty with the IRS, you have to act quickly to avoid a terrible outcome.
In the event that you don't have the cash to take care of your obligation to the IRS, you need not fear. There are alternatives accessible to you, and an accomplished lawyer can assist you with negotiating an agreement with the IRS and help you get your life back on track.
You have the legitimate option to speak to the IRS yourself; however, most citizens have discovered that expert assistance, for example, specific lawyers, bookkeepers, or specialists who are knowledgeable about helping citizens settle unpaid assessment obligations, can improve your chances of arriving at an adequate settlement with the IRS.
Typically, the IRS will work with the individuals who owe cash, and you have a few unique alternatives available to help settle your obligation with them. For example, some of those options are installment agreements, an installment agreement with partial payments, an offer in compromise, not currently collective programs, bankruptcy, release of wage garnishments, stopping the IRS from levying any bank accounts, and releasing you from any IRS obligations which are past the statute of limitations. Permitting an accomplished IRS-negotiation lawyer to deal with your IRS correspondences and communications is smart choice. Using an experienced lawyer to communicate and negotiate with the IRS can save you significant money, lower your stress, and give you peace of mind.
Access Legal Care lawyers assist people throughout the U.S.A. with negotiating with the IRS to resolve their tax debts. Our fees depend on how much you owe, and we can work out low initial and monthly payment plan options.
Regardless of the outcome of the criminal prosecution, or even if there was no prosecution, crime victims can file civil lawsuits against offenders and other responsible parties. Unlike the criminal justice system, civil courts determine whether an offender or a third party is liable for the injuries sustained as a result of the crime. If so, courts may order them to pay monetary damages to the victims. While money can never fully compensate a victim for the trauma from crime or the loss of a loved one, it can be a valuable resource to help crime survivors rebuild their lives. Also, the exposure to civil liability is a powerful incentive for landlords, businessmen, and other proprietors to enact the security measures necessary to prevent future victimizations.
Potential defendants who can be liable to crime victims include:

A QDRO grants a person known as the “alternate payee” the right to part of the retirement benefits a former spouse (the “participant”) earned through an employer-sponsored retirement plan. A trademark is a brand name. A trademark or service mark includes any word, name, symbol, device, or any combination, used or intended to be used to identify and distinguish the goods/services of one seller or provider from those of others, and to indicate the source of the goods/services.
It is vitally important that you select or create a trademark that is both federally registrable and legally protectable. Although federal registration of a mark is not mandatory, it has several advantages, including notice to the public of the registrant's claim of ownership of the mark, legal presumption of ownership nationwide, and exclusive right to use the mark on or in connection with the goods/services listed in the registration.
If you are a foreign-domiciled applicant, you must have a U.S.-licensed attorney represent you at the USPTO. Non-U.S.-licensed attorneys and non-attorneys may give you inaccurate information and legal advice about your trademark rights and the registration process in the United States.
If you are domiciled in the United States, you are not required to have a U.S.-licensed attorney represent you, but we strongly encourage you to hire one who specializes in trademark law to guide you through the application process. Although USPTO staff can provide information about the federal application process, USPTO employees cannot give you legal advice or help you fill out forms.

Benefits are provided without regard to fault and are the exclusive remedy for workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths. Nearly all workers in the United States are covered by workers’ compensation.
Access Legal Care lawyers assist people throughout the U.S.A. with their worker’s compensation claims. Our fees are always contingency fees, meaning you pay nothing unless we win money for you, and then our fee is taken out of the money that we get for you. It is a win-win situation.
